Apple has updated a number of their desktop products today while introducing two entirely new accessories. New Intel processors and updated graphics cards have been added to the all-in-one iMac computer, which now start at $1,299 CND. Aimed at hard core desktop users, the Mac Pro has new components offering 50% more performance with 12 processing cores and starts at $2,599 CND, and the LED Cinema Display is now available in a larger 27" size, offering a 2560 x 1440 resolution at $999. But perhaps the more curious announcements today are the introduction of two new accessories; a battery charger and large track pad.

Thanks for the great review on the Ford Escape. It certainly gets good mileage for it's size and has a lot of creature comforts. It may look manly, but I've only seen it from the front, and the side, but it seemed that it suited you well since you were sitting up at a good level. It's good that you mentioned the lumbar support since that's an essential detail for a vehicle.

Thanks for taking time to write about your experience and for being willing to check out a new Ford, Rachel.

The speakerphone & steering wheel radio controls are all part of Ford's SYNC system that allow you to use phone & mp3 devices hands-free. There's so much potential with that system it's not funny.

Thanks for your feedback about the seats - while the soy-based seats are pretty comfy, it's important to know about things like lumbar support (which frankly, I'm surprised about - I know a number of our other vehicles have lumbar support). I'll make sure the team knows about it.

As to the brakes, I'm not sure if that's typical or not. I can tell you that the newest hybrids have regenerative brakes - 94% of the energy from braking gets recycled into the engine. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Either way, your honest and candid feedback was welcome. I'm glad you had the opportunity to spend some quality time in the Escape.
